The ThinkPad W700ds is the first dual screen laptop and the second screen even tilts. Most people are already using two monitors at their desktop and the feature would be an advantage to power users. The W700ds was made for photographers, designers and others who need productivity-enhancing tools which happen to be included in the laptop.
They weren't trying to go small when they built this one. It measures 16 x 12 inches and is also pretty thick at over 2 inches. It's low weight is also 11 pounds, getting heavier as you add other available features like the second hard drive. That is right, two screens and two hard drives.
The second screen is vertical measuring in at 10.6 inches which is about the size of a typical notebook display. This is about 40% the size of the primary 17 inch screen which is rated at 400 nits of brightness. It also has a color gamut that is better than most other notebooks. This is a big plus for those who use visual design like graphic artists or photographers.
