Huffington Post Called On By President Obama During First Presser

The Huffington Post has grown quite popular in the recent past. Admittedly, it did begin with a large budget and many contributors. But I remember when Ariana Huffington was running for Governor of California in the Democratic primaries against Arnold Schwarzenegger and approximately 14 other candidates. I don't remember exactly when, but she started the Huffington Post shortly after the election. I was surprised to hear President Obama call on one of the contributors to Huffington Post during his first presidential press conference.

You may not care about the Huffington Post, but the Internet is now in a new era. This is an era where even the government of the United States is publicly acknowledging Internet entities. We all have the power to create one of these entities (if not more than one), not only for the purpose of having our voice heard online, but also to create income. Remember this if you feel discouraged by the current economic times. These things will get better by each of us being creative about earning money.

Koalas Suffering From Australian Heat Wave

I'm sure you've heard about the horrible fires that are happening in Australia. One of the things that's not helping firefighters to get control is the awful heat that Australia is experiencing. They are in a heat wave now that has koala bears seeking out humans for water. The pictures are heartbreaking. Though we like to see them, koalas are not known as the most sociable creatures. They don't usually come around looking for people. They are best viewed if they are just sitting in a tree unbothered. While researching this story, I came across the information that link below is said to be the best group that is working to save the koalas. Check them out if you are interested in Green stuff. This isn't a solicitation of funds for them. At the very least you should know what's happening over in Australia. I have sold articles to different people from the area, if some of you folks happen to come across my blog, please send me a message and let me know how things are going.

Salamander Populations Dwindling
Most common salamanders in cloud forest have nearly disappeared.

The decline of amphibian populations worldwide has been documented primarily in frogs, but salamander populations also appear to have plummeted, according to a new study by University of California, Berkeley, biologists.

By comparing tropical salamander populations in Central America today with results of surveys conducted between 1969 and 1978, UC Berkeley researchers have found that populations of many of the commonest salamanders have steeply declined.

Obama Pledges Help To Homeless Woman in Florida Townhall Meeting
Florida is having a horrible time with the economy. This poor woman is living in her car or truck, there are different accounts. She is certainly living a pretty hard life right now. The update on the story is that she was offered residence at the home of the wife of a state representative of Florida. I hope Ms. Hughes can get some employment and get on her feet.
